MMUST’S PROF. ASENATH SIGOT CLINCHES THE COVETED CARNEGIE AFRICAN DIASPORA FELLOWSHIP AWARD

MMUST’s Prof. Asenath Sigot has clinched the coveted Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program Award. This has effectively propelled MMUST’s research and academic profile into the foreground of the global research arena. Prof. Sigot has been partnered with Dr. Billystrom Jivetti from University of New Mexico. Prof. Sigot is a Professor of Nutritional Sciences in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, School of Public Health, Biomedical Sciences & Technology (SPHB&T). She is an ardent researcher who has published extensively in the field of Nutrition and Health besides carrying out top notch research. Prof Sigot is indeed the right person to steer this project for MMUST.

The Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology project is one of 56 projects that will pair African Diaspora scholars with higher education institutions and collaborators in Africa to work together on curriculum co-development, collaborative research, graduate training and mentoring activities in the coming months.
