
Bushiangala TTI Seeks Partnership with MMUST as It Presents Collaboration Proposal to the Vice Chancellor
Bushiangala Technical Training Institute (BTTI) on 9th July, 2026, officially presented a collaboration proposal to the MMUST Vice Chancellor, Prof. Solomon Shibairo. The proposal, developed by the Bushiangala Committee on Collaboration Partnership between MMUST and BTTI, was formally handed over to the VC by the committee’s Coordinator, Prof. Kubasu Kwashe. During the presentation, the committee was accompanied by a delegation of key stakeholders, including representatives from the communities within and around Bushiangala, the Bushiangala and Idakho Central Churches of God, members of the Bushiangala Development Committee, and local political leaders.

The proposed partnership spans several key areas, including academic collaboration, shared utilization of facilities and resources, and joint initiatives in research, innovation and community service. The proposal also highlights the business and enterprise development aspect, as well as the establishment of specialized courses such as Mining, strategically leveraging BTTI’s location at the Ikolomani gold mining belt.

As the discussions to establish a collaboration between MMUST and BTTI kick off, both institutions are set to not only create transformative opportunities for students and the wider community, but also drive regional development. BTTI is an institution that has strong connections with the community, and there is no doubt that this partnership will significantly elevate the University’s visibility and impact in the region.
