
Delegates from the National Defence University-Kenya Visit MMUST to Discuss Collaborative Agreement Operationalization
Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology hosted a delegation from the National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K) on 8th April 2025 to discuss the operationalization of the two institutions’ Collaborative Agreement (CA). The delegates, led by Brigadier M. Mwenga, will be in MMUST for the next two days, exploring potential areas of collaboration including research, grant writing, training, staff and student exchange, curriculum development, resource-sharing, as well as community engagement. The team was officially received by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs), Prof. Hussein Golicha, who was representing the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Solomon Shibairo.

The opening meeting was attended by the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Planning, Research and Innovation)-Prof. Peter Bukhala, Deans, Directors, members of the Agreement’s implementation committee, and Professors in the School of Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (SDMHA), where the CA is domiciled.
The MMUST and NDU-K Collaborative Agreement was signed in 2024 and is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing both national defense strategies and academic development. We wish the two institutions fruitful deliberations!
