The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Planning, Research and Innovation)- Prof. Charles Mutai of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), has officially been installed as the Principal of Bomet University College. The swearing-in ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, 10th December 2024, at the Bomet University College, was attended by the University Chairperson of Council- Prof. Simon Mitema, member of Council, Bomet University Deputy Principals; Prof Loice Maru and Prof. George Orwa, Prof. Benedict Alala, as well as the staff members. Prof. Mutai’s robust academic qualifications, coupled with his extensive administrative experience, make him exceptionally suited for the role of Principal at Bomet University College.

Prof. Mutai’s appointment has come at a time when Bomet University College is expanding its infrastructure with a number of ongoing projects, improving its academic programs and is working towards becoming a fully fledged University. With his experience in academia and leadership, particularly in his previous roles at MMUST, he is well positioned to lead Bomet University College to greater heights.
