
MMUST Division of Planning, Research and Innovation Drives Strategic Execution Across Sections Through Monthly Performance Review
MMUST Division of Planning, Research and Innovation on 8th September 2026 conducted its monthly performance review meeting aimed at strengthening strategic execution, accountability and coordination across the Division. This is to ensure that activities and programmes implemented by the Division remain aligned with the University’s strategic plan. Led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Planning, Research and Innovation) Prof. Christopher Ngacho, the meeting brought together Directors and Coordinators under the Division to review progress, assess achievements, deliberate on emerging priorities and address challenges affecting implementation.

Speaking during the meeting, Prof. Ngacho commended the Directors and Coordinators for their commitment and the work undertaken within their respective sections, noting that their collective efforts contribute significantly to the performance and achievement of the Division’s mandate. He encouraged the heads to maintain the momentum and actively participate in the monthly review meetings, which will continue to be held every first Tuesday of the month. Prof. Ngacho emphasized that consistent participation is essential in strengthening coordination, accountability and the timely implementation of the Division’s programmes and activities.

During the meeting, Directors and Coordinators presented comprehensive reports on achievements attained within their respective areas, ongoing activities, planned activities and challenges encountered in the course of implementation. The presentations provided an opportunity for the Division’s leadership to assess progress, identify gaps and determine areas requiring strategic attention.
