Unstoppable MMUST FC Crashes Transfoc 2-1 to go third on division one League table

The match kicked off at exactly 1pm in the afternoon with anxious football fanatics filling the pitch with cheering songs. The tactical Charles Mwalo coached side started at a very fast pace with counter after counter. In the 7th minute the home team got control of the game after a left foot kick from David Simiyu went past the Transfoc goal-keeper, Jeremiah Wanjala and touched the net. This triggered pressure making the opponents very much unsettled, with their attempts to recall the goal hitting a dead rock, as the match went into half with MMUST FC leading by one goal.

Things were however not good for the home team going into the second half when MMUST FC defender Davis Okoth handled the ball in the penalty box. Mukude Esien of Transfoc FC challenged the MMUST FC goalkeeper Gavin Momanyi at the 64th minute and obtained an equalizing score making it 1-1. Tension went high minutes later after Masinde Muliro’s Brian Okumu’s kick went over the bar with all the funs off their seats.

Mr. Mwalo’s boys’ determination bore fruits for MMUST FC after Transfoc’s highly pressured defender, Ferdinand Gumo handled the ball in the penalty box at the 89th minute mark causing excitements and disappointments in equal measure. The MMUST FC seasoned midfielder Hillary Amboso took up the responsibility of the team and netted the ball, sending Transfoc FC goalkeeper in the opposite direction, and once again MMUST FC took the lead. The match ended 2–1 in favor of the home team after the center referee Mr. Bernard Sifuma blew his final whistle.
