Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with De La Calexo Africa, in an effort to enhance environmental conservation. The MoU was signed on Monday, 21st August, 2023, by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Solomon Shibairo, and the Chief Executive Officer- De La Calexo Africa, Hon. Caleb Burudi.
The two (2) institutions are set to collaborate in the areas of academics and career development, research and innovation, consultancy services, as well as community outreach. In MMUST, the MoU is spearheaded by the Coordinator-Webometrics and Short Courses, Dr. Dennis Ochieno, together with Dr. Edwin Kanda, Dr. Emily Indakwa, Mr. Oscar Waswa and Ms. Consolata Shilaho.

It is worth noting that the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Planning, Research and Innovation), Prof. Charles Mutai, the Acting Registrar-PRI, Prof. Alice Ndiema, and the Director-International Relations and Academic Linkages (DIAL), Dr. Umulkher Ali, were present during the MoU signing ceremony which took place at the Vice Chancellor’s office.
Climate change is a global challenge that requires concerted efforts by relevant stakeholders. The MoU between MMUST and De La Calexo Africa will certainly lead to serious innovative solutions to combat climate change.
